Hello friends, today's OOTD is all about corduroys and why you need them this season.

Formerly used only for mensware, corduroy has seen a resurgence in high street fashion especially with brands like J. Crew, Urban Outfitters, Free People etc. 

While I don't find corduroy pants flattering for my frame, I'm all about the corduroy skirt and jacket combination. While outfit prepping, I came across my corduroy skirt and I immediately knew how to rock it for a chilly winter's day in NYC.

I'm wearing a J. Crew Corduroy Pencil Skirt paired with a Jones New York Mock Turtleneck and a vintage men's corduroy jacket.

I love this look because it is a business-casual perfect for the office and also, great for some time out with friends in the city.

I tend to lean towards outfits with dual functionality because why look cute for only a part of the day when I could great all day & night long. The addition of the corduroy blazer adds a layer of sophistication that a fabric like corduroy needs.
